Inside Sales / Application Engineering

We have an immediate opening for full-time Inside Sales / Application Engineering in our Paterson NJ manufacturing location.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with a background in technical sales. You will be dealing directly with customers and field representatives answering questions, obtaining requests for information, designing proposals and submitting quotations. In addition you will assist in resolving customer issues and work closely with the outside sales manager. Preparation of technical drawings, spreadsheets, presentations and reports are also a requirement of this position.

Description of Major Responsibilities
• Evaluating customer applications and submitting quotations for valves, piping and related products. Includes sizing, material compatibility, lifetime expectancy, warranty, and so forth.
• Product Engineering – Design of custom piping, and special customer requests.
• Order Entry and Invoicing
• Inventory Management – Purchasing product from main factory as well as suppliers, setting inventory levels, maintaining inventory, and expediting.
• Reporting – Maintaining up to date quotation logs, booking and sales reports for all sales.

Qualifications
Candidate must meet the following in order to be considered:
• Bachelors degree in engineering;
• 2+ years of experience in technical inside sales in the valve and/or piping industry;
• US citizenship or valid work permit a must;
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
• Strong mechanical aptitude;
• Superior oral and written communication skills.

Furthermore, succesful candidate must reside in Northern New Jersey.
